Meet Buck Rogers and Michael Goldberg: Personal Injury and Wrongful Death Attorneys in Atlanta, Georgia

 

Brian D. Rogers

Brian D. "Buck" Rogers is a native of Atlanta and a graduate of the Westminster Schools. Buck earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Georgia in 1990 and a Juris Doctor from Vanderbilt University School of Law in 1994.

Buck was named as one of the top 14 lawyers under the age of 40 by the Daily Report and was named a Rising Star by the Super Lawyers edition of the Atlanta Magazine in 2005 and 2006. Buck is a member of the State Bar of Georgia, the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association, the Atlanta Bar Association and the Lawyer's Club of Atlanta. Buck is a graduate of the National College of Advocacy (2000) and the Ultimate Trial College in Washington, D.C. (2005). He is currently a master in the Lamar Inn of Court (2002-present) and was a barrister in the Bleckley Inn of Court (2000-2002) and Joseph Henry Lumpkin Inn of Court (1996-1998).

Buck has devoted himself to community service, including serving on the Board of Directors of the Civil Justice PAC Inc., the Fernbank Museum of Natural History, Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) and the Shepherd Spinal and Brain Injury Center, where he serves on the Auxiliary Board and the Advisory Board. He is a third generation lawyer and has focused his practice on representing catastrophically injured victims in the areas of trucking litigation, vehicular accidents, premises liability, products liability and railroad collisions.

Michael L. Goldberg

Michael L. Goldberg was born in Augusta, Georgia and played for the Division I Basketball Team at Mercer University in Macon, Georgia where he graduated in 1994. He earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Georgia in 1997.

Michael Goldberg was recently named as one of the Legal Elite by Georgia Trends Magazine in 2007. He is a member of the State Bar of Georgia, the Atlanta Bar Association, the Dekalb Bar Association, the American Association of Justice, the Georgia Trial Lawyer's Association and the Lawyer's Club of Atlanta. He has served as the President of the North Metro Trial Lawyer's Association (2006-2007), Treasurer of the ACYL (2006-2007), ACYL Board Member (2005-2006), YLD Co-Director of Continuing Legal Education (2004-2005), YLD Co-Chair of Judicial Liason Committee (2003-2007), Kessler Eidson Trial Techniques Program at Emory University School of Law (2000-2007), Mock Trial Attorney Coach at Chattahoochee High School (2000-2004), and Barrister Lamar Inn of Courts (2000-2002).

Exclusively representing victims of serious personal injuries throughout the state of Georgia, Michael Goldberg handles litigation for a broad spectrum of personal injuries, including brain or head injuries, burn injuries, birth injuries, and spinal cord injuries. He has also successfully litigated other catastrophic injuries or wrongful death claims in the areas of vehicular accidents, trucking accidents, medical malpractice, products liability, premises liability, and constitutional rights.

John A. Houghton

John A. Houghton is a native Atlantan who joined Rogers & Goldberg as an associate attorney in June of 2006.  John received his Bachelor of Arts in History and Political Science at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas in May of 2002.  He received his Juris Doctor from Cumberland School of Law of Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama in May of 2006. 

John was one of twelve students selected for the Advanced Skills of Trial Advocacy program during his 3rd year of law school.  Additionally, John earned his 3rd year practice card and performed a litigation externship at the Jefferson County District Attorneys office in Birmingham prosecuting criminal cases, while maintaining his academic status on the Dean's List.  He presently represents victims of severe and catastrophic personal injuries resulting from criminal and negligent behavior and has significant litigation experience. 

John is a member of the State Bar of Georgia, the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association, Atlanta Bar Association, the North Metro Trial Lawyers Association, the Georgia Civil Justice PAC and the American Bar Association.  He is admitted to practice in U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia, the Georgia Court of Appeals and the Supreme Court of Georgia.

Jaci Davis

Jaci Davis is a paralegal with the law firm of Rogers & Goldberg, L.L.C.. Jaci has over 20 years of experience assisting lawyers with the handling of catastrophic personal injury and wrongful death cases.
